Anusha Gopalakrishnan, PhD
Senior Research Associate
Anusha is a trained microbiologist from Pune, India. Her doctoral and post-doctoral work focused on drug resistance and vaccine development towards malaria. At Duke she continues her research on infectious diseases by looking at Chlamydia virulence and how they interface with c-di-AMP, a signaling molecule uncommon in gram negative bacteria. Anusha also manages the lab.
In her personal time, Anusha loves spending time with her family, travelling to US National Parks, solving puzzles with her son, dancing, singing with her daughter, and serving the Indian community in her neighborhood with her husband.
